LOCAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING March 23, 2023
On Thursday, March 23, 2023, a Local School Board meeting was held at the SB Session Hall with Mayor A. Alvin J. Uy, ECE, Vice Mayor Romulo S. Caballo, Chairperson of the SB Committee on Education, Sergio O. Ranque, Schools District Supervisor, Loreto T. Namor, Municipal Accountant, Irene Quiñal, Municipal Treasurer, school heads, Non-Academic Personnel and Teacher’s Organization Representative, and Sir Alvin A. Jabilles, National Trainer/Facilitator (Rondalla Baclayon Ensemble) in attendance. The main agenda of the meeting, led by Schools District Supervisor Sergio O. Ranque, included discussions on the status of the realignment of travel allowance for CVRAA athletes, communication load allowance, unimplemented projects from the past 3 years, and proposed projects by Sir Alvin A. Jabilles for the Rondalla Baclayon Ensemble. The members of the Local School Board agreed to use the proposed allowance of P40,000.00 for CVRAA athletes to support and encourage their journey toward success in the athletic field. Other topics discussed in the meeting were the budgeting for the year and the request for pedestrian lanes. Sir Alvin A. Jabilles expressed his eagerness to showcase the young talents of Baclayanons and to prepare them for future musical endeavors. All members approved and seconded the proposals that were made during the meeting, ensuring that the proposals will be beneficial to all Baclayanons, especially the younger generation. The meeting was deemed successful.
SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE (SIM) REGISTRATION
The National Telecommunications Commission, in partnership with leading telecommunications companies such as DITO, GLOBE, and SMART, will be holding a SIM registration drive in accordance with Memorandum Order No. 001-12-2022, also known as the “Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Registration Act,” in the Municipality of Baclayon, Bohol. The SIM registration will be conducted on March 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Baluarte Covered Court, Poblacion, Baclayon, Bohol.

We had the privilege of receiving a visit from the esteemed Municipal Officials of Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur, led by the Honorable Charlotte D. Panal, on March 2nd, 2023. It was an honor to host their courtesy visit to our Municipality, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have engaged in meaningful discussions and strengthened our ties with our neighboring community.
Bureau of Fire Protection – Barangay CFAG Fire Olympics C.Y. 2023
The Municipality of Baclayon Fire District launched the Barangay CFAG Fire Olympics, with five barangays who participated, including Sta. Cruz (Champion), Cambanac (1st Prize), San Isidro, Guiwanon, and Payahan, together with their respective representatives and captains. The program was held on March 10, 2023, in Baclayon Baluarte Grounds, poblacion, Baclayon, Bohol. The event was overseen by the Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, INSP Rolando T. Jumawid. Also present at the celebration is our dear Mayor, A. Alvin J. Uy, ECE, who is accompanied by our loving Vice Mayor, Romulo C. Balangkig, and Engr. Sheena B. Israel, Mary Rose.
The Newly Acquired Fire Truck is Blessed
The Municipality of Baclayon is extremely pleased to announce the blessing of our freshly obtained Brand new Fire Truck from the Bureau of Fire Protection National Headquarters and the Department of the Interior, which was performed in the presence of Monsignor Harold Parilla, Mayor Atty. A. Alvin J. Uy, ECE, SF04 Rolando T. Jumawid, OIC—Fire Marshall, SB Secretary Erico Joseph T. Cañete, Kagawad Victoria G. Aquino, Kagawad Romulo S. Caballo, and Baclayon Bureau of Fire Protection Fire Marshalls.
